Master Gracey Original Attraction Slide A6 Film PROP Haunted Mansion WDW # 09/13
1982 Actual Rare Original Film. From the Gracey Manor Foyer featuring. To create the illusion of the changing portrait, there were two projectors alternating back and forth, and fading in and out creating the transformation of a Young Good Looking Man to that of a Skeleton.
When the film broke, it would be replaced. I have heard talk that these are all digital pictures now (as of 2007), which makes this a great addition to any Haunted Mansion Buff´s collection. This film could be 50 years old! I received this from a person who had worked in the Liberty Square area of the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World.
These reels of film were in junk cans located next to projectors located around the specific scenes and were being trashed because Disney only shows the best. I hope this explains more thorough. The slides when I received originally in the early 1980's, I believe there were two sets of 13 frames. I once heard a couple of stories from an old Disney Manager that part of the original plans at the Mansion were that as you leaned backwards to descend to the graveyard that there was to have been a holographic type figure shoveling dirt as if to be burying the occupants of the Doom Buggy in the Cemetery. And that on opening day at the Tokyo, Japan Haunted Mansion the custodial crews were attempting to make the entire park spotless, well yes, they even vacuumed the spider webs out of the Mansion!
During a Rehab in 2007, Master Gracey was turned to the Right. He was flipped back to the left a few years ago, the way I remember him.
Fortunately, with the actual film you can flip it and face either way. Demonstrated with the scans, some left and some right. As the ONLY Legible Book Title reads in the Library at the Mansion, The Art of Deception. This plays out, throughout the attraction. The picture of The Art of Deception Book is from the internet.Film was carefully inserted into Ultra Pro Card Sleeve. Archival-grade, acid-free and non-PVC soft card sleeve.
And then inserted into Ultra Pro Regular Toploader and then the Positive Slide was scanned into my PC. The scanner has a difficult time with transparencies.
I used a different Lighting settings for each scan. One scanned image shows the 35mm film with 10 of the 13 heads as it looked when it was complete. Another scan shows 5 of the 13.The scanner bed wasn't wide enough to capture all 13 images in one scan. A1 A1 A1 A2 A4 A6 A6 A6 A6 A6 A6 A6 A6 for projector A. Only one A6 is included in this sale. The 1st picture in listing was created from this actual frame.
I took the 13 frame film to a photography store (Ritz) and had 4" x 6" photo paper pictures made of the 13. What you see is the scanned image of #09. Failure to comply with e b.
