Disney Cast Member Haunted Mansion House Maid Ladies Uniform Greatcoat. This coat is an authentic Disneyland Haunted Mansion uniform "greatcoat". Checked out daily by the wardrobe department.
Worn by a cast member while working the ride. Women's size 22 is what the label says, but I'm a size 12, 5'7 and it fits me perfectly, I don't know how to read vintage sizes. Original Disneyland label and original wardrobe bar code tag (that would have been added later). From the 1970's-1980's, this coat is very rare.
The greatcoats are especially rare as they weren't checked out from wardrobe as often as other parts of the uniform. Made in USA tag on this coat is also very hard to find. Later tags say Magic Kingdom or Walt Disney Company. I don't know what Disney was thinking but this coat has no pockets! Good condition, please see photos as they are an integral part of the description. Several things to note: at the bottom of the zipper is a wear tear from fastening the zipper. The lining fabric where the bodice meets the waist is thinned in spots, please look. This coat shows signs of age and use. It has been in a garment bag in my closet for many years.
